I believe yoga can make a difference for everyone, whether that’s a stronger and more flexible body, a calmer mind, or a greater connection and understanding of who you are.
My name is Emily Rowell and I teach Hatha Yoga in Stamford, Lincolnshire.
I’ve been practising yoga for a number of years and am so excited to be sharing it with lots of people in my classes. My classes are mostly aimed at beginners because I absolutely love introducing people to yoga and seeing them slowly begin to understand that there is so much more to it than stretching and breathing!
When I first gave yoga a try, I (like most people!) saw it as a form of exercise that would help me get stronger and more flexible. While those things will definitely happen when you start practising yoga, I soon discovered that the biggest rewards I got from the practice were taking time for myself, consciously breathing and learning about my body.
In my classes I aim to gradually introduce people to the whole package of yoga. Yes, we will work on strength, flexibility and balance, but we will also look at some of the principles of yoga, the concept of mindfulness, the importance of the breath, and much more.
If there is anything else you would like to know about me or my classes then please feel free to get in touch. 🙂
